If you've seen our last video, you'll know we sold the Hilux at the end of 2021. It wasn't working well as a family tourer - and it was time for something a bit more "nice". After many test drives we ordered a Fortuner in April 2021 - it finally arrived in January 2022!

I thought we'd have a quick look back through what we got up to over the last 12 months or so - and remember just how epic New Zealand is!

After 70,000kms our old tyres were pretty much done - it was time to chuck something new on. Enter the MAXXIS Razr AT811s - an aggressive all-terrain that is fairly new on the market. I also splashed out a little and got some new wheels! Pretty stoked with how it turns out.

Daniel sets out on three days of exploring the hidden gems in the Whanganui/Taranaki area. Between the beaches, Meremere Road (where things go a tad wrong), the "most expensive road to maintain" Kiwi Road and the other gems, it's a pretty amazing place to spend a weekend!

Before leaving on an overland adventure and heading off road/4wding we always make sure to pack all our recovery gear - you never quite know what you'll need or when. In this video Daniel covers what we carry with us and offers some thoughts on the gear, winches and recoveries.
