Buried deep in the Pureora Forest Park is the geographical centre of the North Island! The monument itself is a tad underwhelming, but being right in the centre is pretty hard to beat!

The drive in and out of the forest is pretty special too - surrounded by a cool mix of native bush and pine forests, you could easily spend a day exploring all the little side tracks around the area.
